Management of Innovative growth companies
Leuven.Inc coaches 26 high-tech companies in different aspects of entrepreneurshipThe Leuven.Inc project "Management of Innovative Growth companies" started in november 2008, offers young entrepreneurs with technological expertise and background the opportunity to further develop their knowlegde in innovative entrepreneurship. Since end of 2008, 26 start-ups and yound technology companies have been guided by a select group of entrepreneurs with an extensive expertise in the fields of Marketing strategy, sales and internationalisation, human capital, financial management and operational aspects. The contents of these sessions have been developed based upon the current needs and interests of the participants. Activities 2008-2010- In de period of April 2009 to November 2010 5 courses, each consisting of 5 interactive sessions, have been organised:
► Course 1: Human Capital
► Course 2: Strategy and Marketing
► Course 3: Sales and Internationalisation
► Course 4: Basic and Advanced module Financial Management
► Course 5: Operational aspects - For each course the content was generated in line with the specific needs and interests of the participants and based upon a thorough needs assessment.
- Each course ended with a final session in which the participants could return with their specific questions and difficulties encountered during the implementation phase.
Results- 26 companies - of which 25 micro/small companies and 1 middlesized company entered the program and received extensive coaching
- these companies represent a respective staff of 286 personnel, with an increase of 41 staff members during the program
- 27 coaches and distinctive entrepreneurs took care of the high level coaching within the 5 courses
- within these 5 courses 50 implementation advises were handed over of which more than 40 have been implemented on short term by the participating companies
Follow upIn May 2011 a new program with 13 participating companies has been started. FinancingHet Leuven.Inc “Management of Innovatieve Growth companies" is supported by the Europees Fonds voor Regionale Ontwikkeling (EFRO).
